Lily Kizer's Baptism

Lily is the newest addition to the Kizer family. Here she is being baptized by the pastor at Lee and Jen's church in New Jersey. My (Dottie's) mom and I drove to New Jersey for the baptism and to celebrate Isabel's second birthday. Julie with her new goddaughter and niece.

Our house

My (Dottie's) parents bought this house last spring with the idea that they would fix it up and resell it. When they heard we were moving to Columbia, they offered to rent it to us. The location is perfect because it is only 13 blocks from the USC campus and about 15 minutes from Nationwide where Jon works. We have really enjoyed living in the city and getting to know our neighbors. Also, we live very close to the USC football stadium, and it is fun to drive down the main road near our house and see all the people and lights in the stadium on game nights.

Jenny comes!!

Jon's sister Jenny came to see us over Labor Day weekend. We had a wonderful time showing her where we live and taking her out to see my (Dottie's) parents at their lake house. Jon and I with our sisters!

Our Parents Come for a Visit

In early August, Jon's parent's came from Pennsylvania to see us in our new environment. We showed them around our new town including tours of the University and to Nationwide Insurance where Jon is working. We also took one afternoon to walk along the Congaree River that runs through downtown Columbia.
